How to Control Hairfall...???


It is most common problem seen in routine life.
Losing a few strands in day while combing is normal. But when one notices hairfall everywhere at home or tuft of hair fall will definitely shock and makes bothersome.

Signs and symptoms of hair fall:

*Gradual thinning of hair
*Loosening of hair
*Medical issues like hypothyroidism and patients under chemotherapy,anxiolytics.

Causes:

Heridity Hair fall may run in some families as heridity (baldness)

Hormonal changes : women experience Hormonal changes during pregnancy, child birth, menopause, change of contraceptive.
These may cause hair fall.

Stress: Excessive stress , work pressure leads to hair fall.

Pollution: Exposure of hair to polluted area can also cause weakening of hair root.

Excessive hair styling techniques:
Procedures like bleaching,perming, curling or straightening can lead to hair breakage 

Improper Hair care products: Excessive  usage of hair gels, high acidic valued shampoos, anti dandruff sampoos with unsuitable chemicals

Infection: Fungal, bacterial infection may lead to hair damage.

Vitamin deficiency: Hair needs protein, amino acids, peptide bonds and proper nourishment. Hence Improper dieting or imbalanced food can cause hairfall.

Life style changes: Smoking, out door works in pollution and sun, Exposure of hair to high temperature, inadequate sleep and improper handling of hair can lead to damage.

Remedies:
In order to control hairfall and regrowth of lost hair

*One has to switch to balanced diet
Regular nourishing hair with protein (Regular oil massage to levels of scalp until penetration of oil to hair buds)

*Regular intake of green leafy vegetables,iron rich, omega 3 fatty acids, Eggs,Nuts.

* Intake of flax seeds, oats, curry leaves, goose berry(amla), wall nuts,almonds, fish,shrimp, asperagus(shatavari), carrot and beet root.

The above food is rich in vitamins of B and C, proteins, amino acids, anti oxidants. These help in hair regrowth and also strengthen loosened hair.

Hair pack: Regular application of of hair pack (2 times atlease/30days) can improve worsened condition of hair
Equal ratio of goose berry powder(amla) +Henna powder (madayantika) soaked in beetroot juice addded with 2 tea spoons of lemon. This is soaked for whole night and applied on head as hair pack.
* Better to soak in iron pan for faster coloring of hair and also for Iron richness.

Life style modification
*Stop smoking( if habitual)
* Tie hair with scarf in outdoor and polluted areas
*Usage of smooth and silk pillow while sleeping
*Control intake of sour and canned foods
Like pickels, chips, deep fries
Eating them vitiated pitta, hence causes loss of hair and premature greying of hair.

*Hair conditioning with protein rich or avacado products (ensure before purchasing- Iam not intend to promote any brand)

*Regular hair massage with Neeli bringa amalaka tailam

Orally:
Triphala churnam 5gms with cow ghee twice a day (Should be taken under supervision of Ayurvedic doctor)


Pancha Karma therapies:
Siro abhyanaga, Siro dhara, Siro vasti, Nasya Karma can yield good results.

IMPORTANCE OF BREAST MILK

INTRODUCTION : Lactation is secretion of milk from breasts. Breast milk is the best milk for infants. It is natural phenomenon which occurs in mammals. Usually baby recognizes mother by tactile sensation that initiates ‘rooting and sucking reflex’. Mother’s ‘vatsalya’ (affection) towards child, hearing cry of baby initiates galactokinesis (ejection of milk). Breast feeding increases bonding between mother and baby.
